Asean Network-Thailand honours MVLAO CEO

Asean Network-Thailand has presented the Asean Award 2016 to CEO of MVLAO Dr Worawut Tavipvoradech in acknowledgment of his outstanding contribution in leading the well known Lao station.

Thailand's Privy Councilor Admiral Chumpol Pachusanon, chaired the award ceremony and presented a trophy and certificate to Dr Worawut, who is also Executive Vice President of MVTV Thailand.

The presentation ceremony took place in Bangkok, Thailand, on May 22 and was attended by local senior officials and other invited guests.

On behalf of the station, Dr Worawut was selected by Asean Network-Thailand to receive the award for his effective contribution to national socio-economic development and following the government's policy.

“It was a enormous honour and pleasure to accept the award in recognition of the work the station has done to improve the quality of life of citizens nationwide, playing a vital role in national economic growth, and contributing significantly to various aspects of societal well-being,” Dr Worawut said.

The award particularly recognises Dr Worawut's leadership of the station, not only in Laos, but also regionally.

He cited the development of the station, especially MVLAO TV's contribution to human resource development in Lao media.

In particular, station staff members have passed on their training and knowledge to others keen to work in the media and entertainment sector.

In the field of the socio-economic growth, MVLAO has been a vehicle for private sector advertisements and provided cultural information for the public.

Besides broadcasting live Mauylao competitions, boxing and other important national events, MVLAO has produced a variety of news programmes to promote good relations among Asean member states.

MVLAO could not work smoothly without the generous support from its hard working staff and the government, especially the Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism.

In recognition of his tireless efforts and achievements at the station working closely with staff to produce useful programmes for Laos, it's not surprising that Asean Network-Thailand unanimously agreed to present the award to Dr Worawut.

MVALAO has reaffirmed its commitment to continuing to produce variety and information programmes for the public.

MVLAO is one of the biggest TV production houses in Laos. It has been broadcasting programming since 2013 through the C BAND, THAICOM 5 satellite and KU BAND which can be watched in more than 20 countries.

MVLAO produces various interesting programmes about politics, news talk, travel, sports, food, health, live music, marketing shows, business talk, IT a nd automobiles.
