Firm to study proposed gas pipeline routes

The Council of Ministers has granted Petrochemicals (Cambodia) Refinery Ltd permission to conduct two feasibility studies to explore the viability of onshore and offshore gas pipelines, according to a document released yesterday.

The onshore pipeline study would cover seven provinces: Preah Sihanouk, Kompong Speu, Phnom Penh, Battambang, Siem Reap, Kompong Cham and Kandal. The proposed offshore pipeline would run from the Gulf of Thailand to Preah Sihanouk.
