Festival attracts 1.3M tourists to Siem Reap

This year’s Angkor Sangkran festival in Siem Reap attracted 1.3 million Cambodian visitors and 30,000 foreign tourists, up 30 per cent and 9 per cent from the previous year, respectively, local media reported, citing provincial tourism officials.

The four-day festival, held April 13-16, was the country’s biggest cultural attraction over the Khmer New Year holiday and resulted in full bookings at local hotels and guesthouses.
