Thai AirAsia's inaugural flight takes off to Luang Prabang

Thai AirAsia's inaugural flight FD 1030 from Bangkok (Don Mueang) to Luang Prabang International Airport in Luang Prabang province took to the skies with a load factor of 98 percent.

The inaugural flight to Luang Prabang city took off on March 24, marking the very first flight into Laos for Thai AirAsia.

The special occasion was attended by Director of Business Development of Thai AirAsia Mr Bovornovadep Devakula, Deputy Director of Luang Prabang provincial Information, Culture and Tourism Department Ms Soudaphone Khomthavong and other VIP guests from both sides.

To celebra te the special occasion, low fares are available starting from US$45 (about 370,000 kip) one way from Luang Prabang to Bangkok.

Thai AirAsia is a joint venture of Malaysian low-fare airline AirAsia and Thailand's Asia Aviation.

AirAsia's Fly-Thru service opens travel to Asean destinations, connecting Thailand to seven countries in Asean with 15 routes and 12 destinations.
