Sun Group’s Phu Quoc paradise sees resounding success on first sales

March 27 marked the launch of sales of condotels and villas at two hospitality real estate projects in Phu Quoc island. developed by Sun Group.

The launch attracted 500 domestic and foreign investors interested at exploiting a golden opportunity.

Just on the first day of sales, Sun Group sold 80 condotels in Premier Residences Phu Quoc Emerald Bay and 30 villas in Premier Village Phu Quoc Resort.

Investor Huynh Thao, from Phu Nhuan district of Ho Chi Minh City, said she had been very impressed by Sun Group’s projects. For her, the biggest reason she put down the deposit for a villa in Premier Village Phu Quoc Resort was the prestige of the investor.

Troy Griffiths, deputy managing director of Savills Vietnam, said that Sun Group’s hospitality real estate products had four main advantages that placed them in the lead in Vietnam. First, Sun Group is a world-renowned brand for real estates. Second, Sun Group’s hospitality real estates are designed and built by prestigious designers and contractors. Third, the prime locations of the projects are going to ensure sustainable profit over a long time. Finally, the resorts are all managed by leading global hotel brands, acting as a guarantee of service quality.

“We have introduced Sun Group’s projects to foreign customers in Singapore, Taiwan, and Hongkong. Everywhere we go, the projects receive a lot of attention,” he said.

Marc Townsend, managing director of CBRE Vietnam, said that in the past 20-30 years in Asia, especially at popular vacation destinations such as Phuket and Bali, condotels have emerged as a favoured choice for investors, rising above other types of real estate. This trend has been mirrored in Vietnam, too.

The two projects launched on March 27, Phu Quoc Emerald Bay and Premier Village Phu Quoc Resort, are located at Bai Khem and Mui Ong Doi, the beauty of which ranks right next to Phuket and Bali and the world’s most beautiful natural islands. But the price of these condotels and villas is very competitive compared to those in Phuket and Bali.

“Foreign investors love these products because their price is too good. Moreover, with Vietnam’s inflation being under control, Sun Group commits a profit rate of 9 per cent per year. No projects anywhere in the world commit such a rate,” said Townsend.

Developer Sun Group carved itself a spot amongst world leading developers with award winning resorts, such as InterContinental Danang Sun Penninsula Resort and Premier Village Danang Resort.
