Media companies say ‘OOH yes' to joint banner
Four leading Lao media companies have joined forces to offer advertisers a convenient one-stop solution for their out-of-home (OOH) advertising needs within the country.
Under the one umbrella of OOH Laos, Bluegrass Design Group, Panyathip Advertising, MAA, and Max Media will together deliver more than 250 billboard optio ns including LED monitors and banners across the nation. The four parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Friday to form the new venture.
President o f Panyathip Advertising, Mr Sayasorn Panyathip explained that OOH Laos aimed to serve as a one-stop solution for advertisers, improve maintenance of hoarding structures and surrounding areas, and standardise the of billboards offered in the country.
OOH Laos plans to self-regulate advertising practices to meet international standards in line with the Asean Economic Community (AEC) era.
Mr Sayasorn said the new joint venture would provide value for money to both local and foreign advertisers looking for solutions, convenience and world-class service.
He was confident that OOH Laos would be able to better serve advertisers by providing them with options and solutions that they would otherwise have to “shop around” for.
Recently, OOH Laos undertook a road show taking in Thailand, Vietnam and Singapore, promoting the standards and quality of Lao out-of home advertising to attract more clients.
“As Lao-owned companies, we do more than just sell advertising space in the country,” Bluegrass Founder, Mr Praseuth Banchongphakdy said, highlighting efforts to standardise, improve maintenance around billboards and ensuring all of them were lit.
OOH Laos would also help to improve the visual landscape and increase safety around areas in which billboards are located.
Bluegrass currently manages the outdoor advertising at Wattay International Airport and has contributed to landscaping and garden maintenance around billboards, which will also benefit advertisers by eliminating distractions from their advertisement, giving them more visibility and appeal.
