JDB reviews 2015 outcomes and launches new products

The Joint Development Bank (JDB) recently held a meeting to review the bank's business operation results for the year 2015 and a gala dinner to launch its new products at Don Chan Palace hotel in Vientiane.

The event was attended by Deputy Governor of the Bank of the Lao PDR Mr Sonexay Sitphaxay, President of JDB Administration Board Mr Ekkaphan Phaphithak, JDB Director General Mr Sounthorn Chanthavong, chief executive officers, staff, businessmen and customers.

JDB's meeting reviewed the business operation results of year 2015 and set next year's plan and together launched its new products including ATM Healthy Life and Payroll Loans.

In addition to this, the bank congratulated its outstanding banking staff who have actively contributed to bank development work by presenting JDB awards, premium awards, and golden awards.

This was the bank's second meeting with customers and businessmen in a bid to build closer relationships between itself and its customer base.

This meeting provided an opportunity for the bank's chief executive officers and customers and businessmen to exchange views on the business operations of customers and businessmen to understand more about the bank's policy and new products.

Besides that, it provided an opportunity for businessmen to be able to access funding sources. The bank has a sufficient amount of money in order to provide customers with loans and support their businesses to expand and grow more and more.

Henceforth it has made a notable contribution to national socio-economic development in line with the slogan “Joint Development Bank develops to succeed stably.”

JDB is one of the largest banks in Laos and has been in operation since 1989. It provides complex finance s ervices and seeks to upgrade the service standards provided to Lao society by stepping up to the international level in all aspects.

Nowadays, Joint Development Bank has opened service units across the country to provide all-round financial services including deposit services, with customers able to open accounts in Lao kip, Thai baht and US dollars, with interest calculated on a monthly basis.

The headquarters of JDB is located on Lane Xang Avenue, Vientiane. At present, Joint Development Bank has expanded to encompass 31 service units, a figure which is expected to grow further to reach 40 units this year and increase to 50 units in 2017.

The Joint Devel opment Bank (JDB) is currently preparing its readiness for going public and listing on the Lao Securities Exchange (LSX) at some point in the near future.
