D’Seaview moves forward; celebrities move in

Property developer HLH Group has announced that it has awarded the piling contract for its prestigious D’Seaview condominium development under its residential brand Camhomes in Sihanoukville to MCCO (Cambodia) Ltd.

MCCO is an international engineering service company, wholly owned by the Metallurgical Corporation of China Ltd, which has a reputation as a leading multinational firm.

It is well known for its experience and strength in engineering, resource development, equipment manufacturing, procurement, construction (EPC) management, and real estate development.

CEO of HLH Group, Dato’ Dr Johnny Ong, said, “the fact that MCCO has previous experience of piling construction in Cambodia and other countries, makes us confident that they can realize our aim, for safe and efficient piling works that meet international building standards for our maiden project in Sihanoukville.”

Mr Xie Hongjun, project manager of MCCO, said that “D’Seaview is a very special project for us. With our experience in piling construction of many iconic buildings in Asia, we are confident that we can contribute to the construction of the residence as per the strict requirements of Camhomes.”

The reinforced concrete columns used in the construction of the buildings make them relatively unhindered by the need for supporting walls, allowing outstanding flexibility in the internal layouts. The piling works is expected to start this month and the work is expected to complete in June.

MCCO has been responsible for many development projects in Asia, such as Tropicana Avenue in Malaysia, Gateway Tower in Philippines, the Central Bank Tower in Kuwait, and many others.

Meanwhile, celebrities have been flocking to sign up to own apartments in the D’Seaview project. The latest is TV personality Ms Khieu Sansana, who has bought a unit in the development.

Khieu said, “I bought a condo at D’seaview last month. What attracts me most is that D’seaview is located close to the sea, so my family and I can relax and really enjoy the nice beach every time we are there.”

She continued that “by owning a condo in this area, I don’t need to worry about accommodation during my visits to Sihanoukville.”

Khieu says she will also be able to make money from her strategic purchase: “It is also a good form of investment avenue for me, as I can lease my unit to national and international visitors to Sihanoukville, who go there for holidays or work. With Cambodia’s ASEAN integration, I believe that there will also be a lot more regional visitors going there. The need for residential housing is increasing too.”

Comprised of two uniquely designed blocks, the spacious and well-appointed D’Seaview development will also include amenities like on-site car parking and 24-hour security, as well as beautifully designed sheltered linkways, connecting each block.

Adjoining the D’Seaview residential condominiums will be numerous commercial units, suitable for various businesses, such as food courts, bars, health centres, beauty salons, mini-marts, financial institutions and many other amenities.

The layout of the commercial units aims to ensure maximum space utilization, both interior and exterior.

D’Seaview’s architecture is designed to incorporate abundant natural daylight and airflow. And to offer all-round unblocked panoramic views of the ocean, the majority of its units face south or southwest. The construction of the condominium development will be completed in approximately two years.
