Specialised job site connecting finance professionals, employers

The Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA) has introduced a free job portal designed to connect financial companies with its members and students, in Ha Noi on January 7.

The new e-portal can be found at www.ACCACareers.com.

Speaking at the event, Le Thi Hong Len, Director of ACCA Mekong Region said that the job portal was developed and introduced globally by ACCA to provide job opportunities for finance professionals.

"It was set up as the official website of ACCA, and is already being used all over the world. The portal offers ACCA members and students the opportunity for their CVs to be seen not only by employers in Viet Nam but also employers globally," Len said.

"On the portal, each country has its own site. For instance, we have a site for Viet Nam, so everybody in other countries can actually enter and access the CVs on the site. If the person is qualified, they can contact him or her. All the services are totally free of charge," Len added.

ACCA is the global body for professional accountants with 178,000 members and 455,000 students in 181 countries. It also has a network of 92 offices and centres across the world. The association aims to offer business-relevant, first-choice qualifications to people of application, ability and ambition around the world who seek a rewarding career in accountancy, finance and management.

ACCA opened its representative office in HCM City in 2002 and in Ha Noi in 2004, making it the first international professional organisation to have an official presentation in Viet Nam.

In recent years, ACCA students and members in Viet Nam have rapidly increased, from 100 students and 11 members in early 2002, to more than 8,500 students and 700 members in Viet Nam to date.
