Isuzu granted business licence by Savan-Seno SEZ

Isuzu Truck Service Factory Lao Company Limited (ITSFL) has been granted licences to invest in the Savan-Seno Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in Savannakhet province.

A ceremony to hand over the licence took place at the zone on December 1, attended by the Deputy Governor of Savannakhet province Mr Santiphab Phomvihane, Governor of the Savan Seno SEZ Authority Mr Bouakham Sisoulath, Vice Governor of the Savan Seno SEZ Authority Mr Thongsay Sayavongkhamdy and President of Isuzu Indochina Company Ltd Mr Maki Kabayama.

This investment is in the form of a 100 percent private investment by the company, with its Lao headquarters to be located in the Savan-Seno Special Economic Zone near Road No. 9.

Isuzu Truck Service Factory Lao Company Limited will invest more than US$2,000,000, with Isuzu Indochina of Singapore holding a share of 80 percent and Isuzu VSA Co Ltd, owned by Lao businesspeo ple, holding 20 percent.

The main goal of the company is to serve as a centre for after-sales services including vehicle checks, repairs and the provision of spare parts for Isuzu vehicles as well as offering services for other brands of heavy vehicles as well.

The company in Savan-Seno Special Economic Zone will also be a centre for supplying Isuzu spare parts for agents in Laos.

Apart from after-sales services, the company will organise training for mechanics so that they are capable to service vehicles in Laos and other passing vehicles from other countries.

Technical training for garages will also be undertaken in the country and to agents supplying spare parts across the country.

The company's investment in the zone is part of its business expansion to welcome the Asean Economic Community which is set to come into force at the end of this month.

The company will begin constructing a building to house its office and business plan in June 2016.

ITSFL's business operation shall offer after-sales services including vehicle checks, repairs and changing spare parts for all vehicle brands in Laos and from neighbouring countries including Thailand, Vietnam and other Asean member countries.

The company has the competent and highly experienced human resources to satisfy the needs of customers in Laos and overseas.
