Cement production line opens in Thanh Hoa

Cong Thanh Group, over the weekend, inaugurated its second production line at its cement plant in the central Thanh Hoa Province's Nghi Son Economic Zone.

The new line has a capacity of 12,500 tonnes a day of clinker or 3.6 million tonnes a year of cement. The project has a total investment of US$420 million with the most modern technologies from Germany.

The plant has total capacity of 15,000 tonnes of clinker a day or 6 million tonnes of cement a year, becoming the biggest cement plant in Viet Nam so far.

The group has provided high quality products to the market which could be suitable for different environment conditions.

It will supply 70 per cent of its productivity to the local market while the remaining would be exported to ASEAN countries.

The group's second production line was approved by Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung in the Viet Nam's cement development planning by 2010 and orientation toward 2020. The plant would contribute to the country's cement capacity by 95 million tonnes by 2019, ensuring cement supply for both domestic and exported markets.
