City makes efforts to popularise supporting industrial zone
Hiep Phuoc Industrial Park Joint Stock Company in HCM City, which has begun to lease out land in its supporting industries zone, held a ceremony last week to apprise potential investors about its advantages.
Vuong Huu Man, director of the company, said the 200ha zone is divided into three parts - the Vie-pan Technology Park and the Supporting Industrial Parks 1 and 2.
The Vie-pan Technology Park is earmarked for Japanese companies. Parts of its first phase, set to be completed next quarter, have been leased out.
Work on the second phase will start after the completion of the first.
The 80ha Supporting Industrial Park 1 is also being leased out to tenants.
Park 2 will measure over 107ha when it is available for lease at the end of next year. It is now in the process of acquiring and clearing land.
The investor said the park contains small land lots measuring around 1,500sq.m, which matches with the demands of supporting industries.
The supporting industries zone is one of two in the city, and they are expected to attain prominence once the Trans-Pacific Partnership takes effect.
The Hiep Phuoc Industrial Zone is in Nha Be District.
In another development, the company has signed agreements with banks to offer investors coming to the zone preferential loans and financial and legal consultancy.
