Sale of automobiles increases in September

Automobile sales in the Vietnamese market rose 17 per cent in September compared with the previous month, the Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers' Association (VAMA) reported.

As many as 21,366 units were sold in September, of which the number of passenger cars took the lead with 12,789 units, 24 per cent higher than the number sold the previous month. This was followed by commercial vehicles, with 7,594 units, and special purpose vehicles, with 983 units.

Automobile businesses imported 42,240 completely built up units in September, producing an impressive growth rate of 57 per cent compared with last month.
