Quang Ninh calls for investment for 47 projects

The northern province of Quang Ninh called on foreign and domestic investors to invest in 47 projects in such areas as transport, infrastructure of industrial parks and urban area, tourism, trade and high-tech agricultural production.

An investment promotion conference, themed “Quang Ninh-investment potentials and opportunities”, was held on October 5 in Ho Chi Minh City to introduce investment potentials, advantages and opportunities in Quang Ninh for businesses in the South.

Head of Quang Ninh Province’s Investment Promotion Agency Truong Manh Hung revealed that the province will create a favorable and open investment environment for investors, providing incentives for investment in prioritized areas.

Over recent two years, the province was listed among top five in the Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI).

As of September 2015, foreign investors from 17 nations and territories have poured US$5.1 billion in 104 projects in the province. Domestic investment hit VND68,000 billion in 2012-2014.

In the first nine months of 2015, domestic investors invested nearly VND30,000 billion in a number of large-scale projects in the province.
