Czech businesses seek investment opportunities in Vietnam
On October 23, Foreign Minister of the Czech Republic Lubomir Zaoralek visited an exhibition of Czech companies operating in Vietnam, saying this has opened plentiful opportunities for economic cooperation in potential fields in the coming time.
In his speech, the Czech Foreign Minister suggested both nations should spur cooperation in renewable energy, electricity, waste water treatment, ship building, fashion, furniture, architecture and IT.
At the exhibition, Czech enterprises will transfer to Vietnam the most advanced technology and hope to seek closer cooperation with Vietnamese partners.
At the workshop on Czech technology products and reasonable measures towards European quality,Lubomir Zaoralek said Vietnam has made great socio-economic advances while the Czech Republic is the country with the greatest economic growth rate in the EU and is seeking new markets.

The Czech Republic considers Vietnam one of its 12 important markets and it is now the 44th biggest investor in Vietnam.
Speaking at a business forum in Hanoi the same day, Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI)Vice Chairman Doan Duy Khuong affirmed his agency will work closely with its Czech counterparts to help enterprises seek and set up partnerships, adding that with its huge potential, Vietnam will be an effective partner for Czech firms, Khuong affirmed.
Stanislav Kazecky, Vice President of the Confederation of Industry of the Czech Republic affirmed his country's desire to expand links with Vietnamese enterprises, especially in energy, automobile manufacturing, waste water treatment, oil refinery and healthcare.
