Novaland wins "Best Developer"at 2015 Viet Nam Property Awards

The Asia Property Award Organization gave away the 2015 Viet Nam Property Awards to developers on Friday, August 14.

Winning the year's highest honour – for Best Developer – was the Novaland Group, which faced stiff competition from leading developers and multiple nominees CapitaLand, M.I.K. Corporation, and Vingroup.

Best Developer, an internationally prestigious award

The Viet Nam Property Awards (VPA), the latest addition to the decade-old Asia Property Awards instituted by Ensign Media, is being heralded as the latest boost to the country's thriving property sector.

The award is to honour the leading property development and best projects in each country and the whole of Asia. It is given annually in Thailand, Singapore, China, Malaysia, and the Philippines, and was this year the VPA extended to Viet Nam, Myanmar, Indonesia, and Cambodia for the first time.

At the 2015 VPA, the judges are individually monitored by BDO, one the top five accounting companies in the world. The members of the jury in Viet Nam were all experts from prestigious companies like Alternaty Property (Viet Nam), CBRE Vietnam, Allen & Overy Vietnam, KPMG, Halo Design, SC Capital Partner Pte Ltd, and others.

The VPA saw a total of 21 awards given to honour the top developers and finest current developments in HCM City and Ha Noi.

The highest honour, "Best Developer", saw stiff competition between the top developers in Viet Nam, but Novaland was the winner at the Awards on August 14.

Along with "Best Developer", Novaland also took home two "Highly Commended" certificates for its Icon 56 (District 4) and Sunrise City (District 7) in the Best Mid-Range Condo Development (HCM City) category.

23 years of contribution to quality of life in Viet Nam

Sharing his opinion about the 2015 VPA awards, Phan Thanh Huy, Novaland Group CEO, said: "This award is very meaningful as it comes right at the time Novaland is celebrating its 23rd anniversary. The award represents the fairest evaluation from property experts of Novaland's creative journey in making good products for society, contributing to urban development, and creating an advanced and humane community. This also means Novaland is ready to integrate into the global market."

Novaland Group, formally known as Thanh Nhon Company Limited, was established in November 1992. In 2007, Novaland entered real-estate industry and began its first project, the US$500 million Sunrise City on Nguyen Huu Tho Street in District 7, the entry point to the southern part of HCM City.

The period Sunrise City was being built (2008-12) coincided with the global financial crisis, with not just the property market, but the entire economy, facing a slew of challenges. With determination and great effort to overcome the difficulties, Novaland completed Phase 1 of Sunrise City, delivering on all its commitments with regard to schedule, design and quality.

Following Sunrise City are projects like Tropic Garden, The Prince Residence, Lexington Residence, 56 Icon, Galaxy 9, etc. Novaland's products always conform to strict international standards, from planning and design to management of construction quality and building management.

Novaland always puts itself in the customers' shoes to draw up international standard criteria to offer them quality products, good places to live in and a guaranteed long-term investment.

Film director Binh Hung (resident of Tropic Garden) said: "Prior to deciding on a project from Novaland, I never had any intention of living in an apartment. On visiting Tropic Garden, I was impressed with the lush green landscapes and the 50m swimming pool. I am also convinced by the developer's reputation for meeting the committed schedule. Living here, I am also very pleased with the building management."
