Japanese firm launches factory construction in Hai Phong

Japan's Aichi Tokei Denki Vietnam started constructing a measuring instrument plant in Trang Due Industrial Park in the northern port city of Hai Phong on June 6.

The US$25-million factory, built on 25,000sq.m, will manufacture and assemble electronic gas and water meters.

The factory, part of the company's strategy to expand its global market share, is scheduled to become operational by next June. It will create jobs for more than 200 local workers.

It is Aichi Tokei Denki's second project in Trang Due Industrial Park.

Aichi Tokei Denki provides electromagnetic products, sensors and central control systems used for management and observation in large complexes and buildings.
