Quang Ninh calls for capital for 71 projects

The northern province of Quang Ninh has released a list of 71 projects in need of investment capital for 2015 to 2020.

A majority follow the public-private partnership model, with capital sourced from private investors.

Nearly a third of the listed projects are in culture, tourism and trade – notably Phuong Hoang island, Cai Chien and Tra Co tourist sites, each worth US$200 to $360 million.

The other 13 projects are in transport. They include a $1.2 billion Cai Bau port, and Ha Long – Mong Cai and Ha Long – Noi Bai highways. The roads are valued at $700 million and $577 million, respectively.
