Dai-ichi Life Vietnam and HDBank form bancassurance partnership

Dai-ichi Life Vietnam and HDBank yesterday signed their exclusive 10-year bancassurance partnership agreement at Hotel Nikko Saigon.

Under this agreement, effective from July 2015, Dai-ichi Life Vietnam, part of Dai-ichi Life- the second largest life insurer in Japan, will be the exclusive supplier of life insurance products and health riders through HDBank’s extensive network nationwide.

As well, Dai-ichi Life Vietnam will introduce to its customers the advanced banking services and utilities of HDBank. With this long-term strategic partnership, Dai-ichi Life Vietnam is expected to become one of the leading players which pioneer the long-term bancassurance partnership in the Vietnamese market.

On their side, HDBank- one of the top 10 commercial banks in Vietnam with more than 25 years of experience- continues to provide high-quality protection solutions and financial plans to its customers, which helps diversify its portfolio of products, services, and distribution channels.

Besides, all customers of Dai-ichi Life Vietnam shall enjoy the convenience of paying premiums through HDBank’s premium collection service at more than 220 transaction points nationwide, as well as through its e-banking channels, which is scheduled to launch in the coming time.

This agreement officially acknowledges the long-term cooperation of both parties’ business strategy on the principles of volunteering, equality, mutual trust and benefits.

HDBank and Dai-ichi Life Vietnam commit to creating favourable conditions for both parties’ development and for building a more and more sustainable bancassurance cooperation.

“We believe that this exclusive long-term cooperation will build a solid foundation for mutual benefits and enhance Dai-ichi Life Vietnam and HD Bank into a new height through the combination of advanced Japanese-quality financial protection solutions and superior distribution capabilities of HDBank,” said Tran Dinh Quan, general director of Dai-ichi Life Vietnam.

Nguyen Huu Dang, general manager of HDBank, said “The cooperation with Dai-ichi Life Vietnam shows a commitment to providing Japanese-quality financial services and products suitable for Vietnamese customers and ‘maximum benefit’ for customers. The cooperation also proves that HDBank can meet the strict requirements for doing business with Japanese partners.”
