Globaltrans Air licence granted

Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai has authorised the Ministry of Transport (MoT) to grant a business licence to Globaltrans Air JSC to operate as a general aviation service provider for helicopters.

The licence has been granted following a proposal by the MoT after approval from the Ministry of National Defence, the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

A representative from the Civil Aviation Authority of Viet Nam (CAAV) said Globaltrans Air met all the necessary requirements to operate as a general aviation service provider.

The company was wstablished in July 2014 in HCM City with charter capital of VND100 billion (US$4.7 million). Since then, Globaltrans has set up highly-trained aircraft operation and maintenance teams to guarantee security and safety.

Globaltrans Air is now the fourth business to operate in the general helicopter aviation industry in Vietnam. Others include the Viet Nam Helicopter Corporation, the Viet Nam Air Service Company (VASCO) and Hai Au Aviation JSC.
