Multi-sector exhibitions open in HCM City

Seven international exhibitions mostly related to machinery, metal working, industrial chemical, paint and coatings, opened on December 3 at HCM City's Tan Binh Exhibition and Convention Centre.

The exhibitions include VINAMAC expo, IMF (International Machinery Fair), Metal and Weld, Vinachem expo, Chinachem, Vina coatings, and VIMM 2014 (Viet Nam Metal and Metellurgy expo).

Covering 5,000sq.m and 250 booths, the exhibitions have attracted a total of 200 exhibitors from many countries and territories, including China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea, Singapore, Thailand, Japan, Malaysia and Viet Nam.

Several conferences, seminars and business meetings will be held alongside the event.

Addressing the opening ceremony, Vo Ta Luong, deputy director general of the Ministry of Industry and Trade's southern affairs, said the exhibitions offer a good opportunity for Vietnamese manufacturers and foreign companies to seek new business opportunities and technology exchange.

Organised by the Viet Nam Advertisement and Fair Exhibition Joint Stock Company in collaboration with Great Future (Hong Kong) International Exhibition Ltd., Shanghai CP Ltd and other local and international organisers, the events will run until December 6.
