Burger King offers delivery exclusively on foodpanda in Vietnam

Foodpanda Vietnam, the world’s largest online food delivery marketplace and Burger King, the world’s second largest fast food company, yesterday announced their strategic and exclusive partnership in Vietnam.

The collaboration allows Burger King lovers to conveniently place orders via foodpanda’s mobile app, or via their website foodpanda.vn.

Burger King and foodpanda’s priority is to provide only the best experience to the customers, offering meals with superior ingredients that are affordable and delivered quickly.

To celebrate the launch of this exclusive partnership, Burger King offers 20 per cent off on their entire menu on foodpanda, with the voucher code BURGERKING.

This promotion is only applicable on online payments in-app or on website and available until Friday, December 26, 2014.

Foodpanda and Burger King have already been working together in Indonesia and Brunei; however in Vietnam the partnership is exclusive between the two companies.

The delivery service will start in Ho Chi Minh City and expand to Hanoi within the next few months.

On this occasion, Tauriq Brown, co-founder and managing director of foodpanda Vietnam, said “The birth of this partnership again demonstrates our commitment to bringing the people of Vietnam the best culinary options into their homes and offices regardless of location.”

“Burger King is a quality focused brand and the fact that yet another global brand has put their trust in us to drive their online ordering business is testament to the diligent work we have done to establish foodpanda as Vietnam’s number-one online foodcourt,” Brown added.

“Burger King has achieved a lot in Vietnam the past years, and today, we further improve our service offering by providing our customers with the possibility of enjoying their favourite meal at home or at work. We are pleased to have reached the strategic exclusive partnership with foodpanda as we strongly believe that together, we will strengthen our position in Vietnam,” shared Thanh Gia Nguyen, managing director of Burger King Vietnam.

Launched in Vietnam in mid-2012 and currently operational in Vietnam’s five major cities (Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Danang, Can Tho and Nha Trang), foodpanda has emerged as Vietnam’s leader in food ordering service.

Besides the latest collaboration with Burger King, foodpanda is working with over 1,000 restaurants to offer a vast variety of the best and most popular cuisines in Vietnam at the exact same prices listed by the restaurants.

Burger King started operating in Vietnam in 2011 with its first restaurant opening at Tan Son Nhat international airport.

Its first in-town restaurant opened in October 2012 in Ho Chi Minh City and the company has since expanded throughout Vietnam, establishing its presence in three major cities of Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi and Can Tho.

With now more than 16 dine-in and take-away restaurants, Burger King is well-positioned to develop into a leading brand in Vietnam.
