Saigon Co.op among top 10 Asia-Pacific retailers

Supermarket chain Saigon Co.op has won the 2014 Best of The Best Award for being among the top 10 retailers in the Asia-Pacific region at the Retail Asia Pacific Top 500 awards in Singapore on Monday.

It is the first Vietnamese retailer to win the award. The co.opMart operator also won the gold award for the best retailer in Viet Nam.

The Retail Asia Pacific Top 500 awards, based on a survey of retailers in 14 economies in the region, are presented by the Retail Asia Publishing, Euromonitor International, and KPMG.

Saigon Co.op, besides the Co.opmart supermarket chain, also operates Co.op Food stores, the HTVCo.op shopping channel, Sense City trade centre in Can Tho, and the Co.opXtraplus Thu Duc hypermarket in HCM City.
