G-bonds worth about $12 billion to be issued
The National Treasury has revised the plan to issue long-term government bonds.
According to the government's website chinhphu.vn, the total number of G-bonds to be issued in 2014 will be worth VND262 trillion or about US$12.33 billion.
Compared with the last adjustment in August, the total value of the government bonds has increased by about VND30 trillion or $1.411 billion.
Specifically, the plan to issue bonds of less than one-year and two-year terms, worth VND26 trillion ($1.22 billion) and VND34 trillion ($1.6 billion) respectively, remains unchanged.
The value of three-year bonds will be decreased by VND4,000 billion to stand at VND61 trillion ($2.87 billion).
The worth of five-year, 10-year and 15-year bonds will increase by VND34 trillion ($1.6 billion) in total.
The worth of five-year bonds will increase by VND13 trillion ($611.7 million) to reach VND80 trillion ($3.76 billion). The worth of 10-year bonds will increase by VND11 trillion ($517.6 million) to touch VND41 trillion ($1.929 billion). And the value of 15-year bonds will be doubled to stand at VND20 trillion ($941 million).
To ensure the nation's capital mobilisation, the National Treasury might change the volume of the issued bonds.
