Construction of Yen Phong IZ transmission station begins

The Northern Power Corporation (NPC) of the Electricity of Vietnam (EVN) launched the construction of the 110kV project's Yen Phong 3 transmission station and transmission lines on November 9.

According to NPC Deputy General Director Thieu Kim Quynh, the 110kV power project is among the five major projects that the government has commissioned the EVN to build to provide stable electricity supply to Bac Ninh Province's Yen Phong Industrial Zone that comprises the Yen Phong Samsung Display high-tech complex.

The 110kV transmission station, with a capacity of 3x63MVA, has more than VND333 billion (US$15.6 million) in investment that comes from bank credit and reciprocal capital of NPC.

The 5km-long transmission lines and outgoing lines of 22kV and 35kV to serve the Samsung Display complex, are also included in the project that is scheduled to be completed in four months.
