Israeli billionaire keen on cooperation on science and technology with Vietnam

Igal Ahouvi, Honorary Consul of Vietnam in Israel had a meeting with Vietnamese Minister of Science and Technology Nguyen Quan and his team on the ocassion of Vietnamese delegation visit to Israel recently.

The Minister of Science and Technology Nguyen Quan had visited and met with officers and employees of Vietnam Embassy in Tel Aviv (Israel) within framework of his visit to Israel and attend the first Intergovernmental Committee meeting of the two countries on October 1.

On this occasion, Vietnam's delegation attended an intimate luncheon with representatives of Israel's government organisations and biggest enterprises in the field of science and technology that was held by IgalAhouvi, the Honorary Consul of Vietnam in Israel.

Ahouvi is known as a famous Israeli businessman, and was appointed as the Honorary Consul of Vietnam in Israel, Haifa city since February 2014.

He is also highly reputed in the European and American real estate markets, and in Vietnam he is the investor of Alma Vacation Ownership project in costal Nha Trang city of Khanh Hoa province.

The meeting with minister Quan and his delegation was one of Ahouvi activities to strengthen the relationship between Vietnam and Israel in general and promote Vietnamese economy in particular.

At the meeting with officers and employees of Vietnam Embassy in Israel, Quan had emphasised on the position and role of science and technology in the industrialisation and modernisation of the country.

He also noted about the lessons of successfulnational development based on science and technology from Israel and other countries in the world.

Furthermore, he discussed about the development situation as well as difficulties and challenges in the development of science and technology in the two countries, and the efforts of the Ministry of Science and Technology in promoting innovation, improving the efficiency of scientific and technological activities in Vietnam in recent years.
