Australian group to set up luxury sailboat plant in Da Nang

Corsair Marine International, a subsidiary of Australia's SeaWind Group, wants to invest in a luxury sailboat building plant in central Da Nang city, according to the Da Nang People's Committee.

Mike Rees, General Director of Corsair Marine International, made a fact-finding visit to Da Nang.

The plant would built catamaran and trimaran yachts and provide repair and upgrade services for luxury yachts. All sailboats would be built using composite and carbon fibers.

SeaWind Group has supplied between 60 and 100 sailboats to the US, European and Australian markets. Five yachts built by the Australian group are currently being used at resorts in Nha Trang in the central province of Khanh Hoa.
