OSSS builds reputation in modular housing

On Site Support Services Ltd (OSSS) is a Lao company providing a high standard of Modular Housing and Steel Warehouses.

OSSS was founded in 2009 to respond to companies wanting to increase participation of Lao companies operating in mining, oil and gas and infrastructure projects as a means of driving real growth in the national and local economies.

The company uses local and community based people and businesses to provide, at an international standard, a full range of camp management services and products. The most successful product has been the modular containers it makes for camps, offices, schools and construction sites.
OSSS is a 100 percent Lao company, employing Lao people and buying Lao products.

“Since we started, OSSS has worked closely with international companies and quickly developed a product that was compliant to their high standards, a product that complies to strict safety, electrical, and structural benchmarks, to be used in their camps and construction phases,” said Mr. Honan.
OSSS is now a preferred supplier, not only of modular buildings, but also of services such as camp management to companies like Phou Bia Mining, MMG Lane Xang Minerals Limited, Rio Tinto, Xayaboury Hydro, Lao Brewery Company and many others operating in Laos.

The modular products are very versatile, making them ideal for construction site offices and accommodation blocks, and they can be adapted for schools in remote areas.
OSSS’s products are now in demand throughout Asia and Africa, with recent orders coming from companies setting up camps in West Africa, and PNG.

Through demand from clients, from compliance to high standards, OSSS has now ventured into providing steel structured warehouses to companies in Laos. Ranging in from 1,000sqm to 10,000sqm, the buildings can be used as warehouses and storage units for mine and construction sites.

In the near future, OSSS is planning to provide a range of affordable Steel Villa Houses. This product will target the Lao housing domestic market, and we will start with our 40sqm and 50sqm units, for under US$30,000. The units are reasonable for people who have small and limited funding, Managing Director Mr. John Honan said.
