Tourism support center inaugurated at Vietnam’s coastal airport

A new tourism support center was inaugurated Thursday at the Cam Ranh International Airport in the coastal province of Khanh Hoa.

Open from 6:00 am to 2:00 pm every day, the center sits at a convenient location at the terminal, offering free maps of Nha Trang, as well as brochures of entertainment destinations around the famed resort city.

The center will also assist holidaymakers with information regarding itineraries, accommodation, transportation, and dining.

Backpackers who need assistance in booking hotels and means of transportation will also be helped.

The center was set up by the Khanh Hoa Tourism Information and Promotion Center under an order from the Prime Minister.

Starting July 15, the center will provide tourism support via a toll-free hotline, according to deputy director Luyen Manh Cuong.

The new service is backed by military-run mobile network operator Viettel, he added.

Cam Ranh International Airport is the main airport serving Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa's provincial capital which is 30 km from the airport.

The terminal is 393km northeast of Ho Chi Minh City.
