Apple Inc (AAPL) aims to beat Samsung in Vietnam
Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL) has announced that it is acquiring FPT Corp., Vietnam’s biggest listed information and communication Technology Company. This is an effort by Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL) to cease the third world market as Vietnam is regarded as a growth hungry market with a strong potential user base for the technology sector.
Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL) is likely to beat Samsung sales in the region with this move because Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL) devices are considered as a status symbol here and people will rush to buy Apple products. In a program, Bloomberg’s Haslinda Amin reported about Apple’s new partnership and strategies in Southeast Asia and epically Vietnam. She said that FPT Corp is a trusted reseller in Vietnam and Apple has now officially partnered with it in the country to boost its sales. She said that Apple has same strategies for other Southeast Asian countries.
The average monthly salary in Vietnam is $228 and people are really in love with Apple Inc (AAPL) devices because of their exquisite outlooks and elegance. Apple Inc (AAPL) now needs a smart marketing strategy across Southeast Asian region and especially in Vietnam to catch up the market which was lost for some years because of Android’s fame and usability. Android devices are cheap, user friendly and readily available and this is the reason why Android also made a huge mark in Vietnam.
According to Bloomberg, there was a 56% growth in the sales of smartphones in Vietnam, which depicts the industry growth and potential. In March, Tim Cook announced that iPhone sales in Vietnam soared by 262 percent in Apple’s fiscal first half. If Apple Inc (AAPL)succeeds to open local reselling and services stores for its devices in Vietnam and regional countries, it will quickly get a high end in the local market as compared to its competitors.
