AIA Group underscores Vietnam commitment

AIA Group CEO Mark Tucker reaffirmed AIA’s long-term commitment to become a leading player within Vietnam’s life insurance industry and a strong and active supporter of its corporate social responsibility programmes when meeting senior Vietnamese government officials during a recent courtesy visit to Hanoi.

AIA Vietnam has worked closely with the National Fund for Vietnamese Children on a range of community activities, including the firm’s Real Life Journey initiative.

This three-year initiative, which began in January this year, provides bicycles to underprivileged schoolchildren throughout Vietnam.

AIA Vietnam has been closely supported by the entire AIA Group, and other like-minded partners.

Tucker revealed that AIA is in discussions with leading Premier League football club Tottenham Hotspur to identify ways for the club to become involved in AIA Vietnam’s Real Life Journey in the future. AIA recently became the primary sponsor of the north London-based club.

AIA Vietnam is an entirely foreign-owned life insurer and a member of the AIA Group, the largest independent publicly listed pan-Asian life insurance group in the world, with a broad footprint spanning 17 markets in Asia Pacific.

AIA Vietnam officially started operations in Vietnam in February 2000. Over the last 14 years, AIA Vietnam has focused on laying a strong foundation for sustainable growth through the training and development of its workforce with over 500 staff and 18,000 agents.
