VN exports to Malaysia spike 16.4 per cent in first 9 months

Exports from Viet Nam to Malaysia in the first nine months of this year reached US$3.76 billion, a rise of 16.4 per cent year-on-year, according to the Viet Nam's embassy in Malaysia.

Major exports to Malaysia included computers, crude oil, electronics and accessories, phones, rubber, iron and steel.

Imports from Malaysia were worth $3.01 billion, a year-on-year increase of 23.8 per cent that brought total bilateral trade values to $6.77 billion.

Malaysia has 447 investment projects in Viet Nam with a total registered capital of more than $10 billion. It ranks eighth out of 100 countries and territories investing in Viet Nam.
