Lao handicrafts on display at Philippine trade fair

The Lao businesswomen's group last week participated at the Dexign Global Philippines trade fair in Manila, aiming to promote trade and investment between the two countries.

They met with international counterparts to discuss the opportunities and challenges presented by the integration of regional and international markets and the potential sales of Lao products abroad.

Among those with exhibitions at the fair were companies such as Beauty of Lao Silk, Your Silk, Traditional Lao Silk Handicraft Group and L.L.S Company Limited, who had a variety of silks and other handicrafts on display.

According to a press release, it was the first time for Lao businesswomen to take part in the fair. They did so in response to an invitation of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce of the Philippines.

Dexign Global Philippines is a platform for design exchange and initiatives in the field of promotion for Asean member countries and other Asian countries such as China, India, Japan, and South Korea, among others.
