Can Tho aims to export 860,000 tonnes of rice

The Cuu Long (Mekong) Delta city of Can Tho has targeted to ship an additional 105,000 tonnes of rice abroad in the latter months of this year.

 

The quantity will bring its total volume of exported rice this year to 860,000 tonnes, 40,000 tonnes higher than last year, local authorities said.

As of October 15, the city had exported 755,000 tonnes of rice, earning US$359.7 million. The exports marked year-on-year increases of 14 per cent in volume and 22 per cent in value, they said.
