Gov't issues fifteen-year bonds

Fifteen-year government bonds worth VND1.5 trillion (US$71.4 million) were listed on the Ha Noi Stock Exchange early this week, according to Bao Viet Securities Company (BVSC).

The bonds, issued as registered bonds at the Vietnam Securities Depository, are underwritten by BVSC at an interest rate of 8.98 per cent per year.

According to BVSC, this is the first time government guaranteed bonds have been underwritten this year and also the first time the State Treasury has issued 15 year bonds since 2006.
