Viet Nam out of top business ranking

Viet Nam has dropped out of the top 50 Best Countries for Business Ranking 2013 implemented by Bloomberg.

From Southeast Asia, Singapore ranks 8th; Malaysia, 28th and Thailand, 43rd.

Last year, Viet Nam stood at the 46th position.

According to Bloomberg, this year's ranking included 161 economies from all over the world.

Countries are ranked on a scale from 0 to 100 per cent on six factors including degree of economic integration (10 per cent), cost of setting up a business (20 per cent), cost of labour and materials (20 per cent), cost of moving goods (20 per cent), less tangible costs (20 per cent) and readiness of the local consumer base (10 per cent).

This year, Hong Kong again took top honours, followed by the US and Japan.
