Trade fair highlights agricultural products

Domestic and international customers now have a chance to get to know more about agricultural and fine arts products from all corners of the northern region, which are being showcased at a trade fair in the capital.

The fair, which opened on Thursday by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD), drew the participation of over 100 enterprises. It will run until October 1.

Addressing the event, Dao Van Ho, Director of MARD's Agricultural Trade Promotion Centre, said that the fair would serve as a bridge to connect producers and traders, promoting trading in the domestic market as well as for export.

It also aimed to honour the traditional craft villages and their products and craftsmen, whose valuable work helped preserve national identity and promote the country's image and people, Ho added.
