Viet Nam-Brazil trade increases in Q1

Two-way trade turnover between Viet Nam and Brazil in the first quarter of the year reached US$366.8 million, up 32 per cent over the same period last year, according to statistics from the Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade.

During the period, Viet Nam exported $195 million worth of products including footwear, printing machines, rubber and fibre to Brazil, surging 30 per cent against the same peroid last year, and imported $173 million worth of goods, a year-on year increase of 34 per cent.

Last year, trade turnover between the two countries exceeded $1 billion for the first time, up 53.8 per cent against 2010.
