On the Ha Noi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index enjoyed a substantial gain of nearly 2.5 per cent to 73.99 points.

Nearly half of all listed codes managed to post gains. Market value reached only 62.2 per cent of last Friday's close, totalling VND414.96 billion ($19.76 million) on a volume of 44.8 million shares.

With some 8 million shares exchanged, Habubank (HBB) claimed the highest trading volume nationwide.
