VN Index shoots up, Asian shares close mixed

The VN Index jumped over 2.4 per cent to pass the milestone of 600 on July 2, while the other Asian indices ended mixed.

 

The VN Index added 14.20 points to reach 605.70, and the HNX Index added 1.57 points to close at 86.76 in Viet Nam, following a positive performance of some banking shares on the same day.

The Hang Seng Index gained 80.71 points, closing at 26,330.74 in Hong Kong, while the Nikkei 225 increased 193.18 points to end at 20,522.50 in Tokyo. The Strait Times Index added 1.10 points to end at 3,332.24 in Singapore, and
