Insurer launches new policies

One of the world's largest financial groups announced the launching of AGL-Krungsri Health Insurance last week to help serve customers in Laos.

Krungsri (Bank of Ayudhya PCL), a member of Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG), aims to serve customers who need various levels of coverage and choices in policy.

The offering comes with Lao customers being offered an ever- increasing variety of services and products as the economy develops apace.

Krungsri Bank in partnership with Allianze General du Laos (AGL) have agreed to develop products to respond to the needs of insurance clients, especially in health insurance.

The new health insurance product is available at branches of Krungsri Bank in Vientiane and Savannakhet.

This service aims to provide ease of access in buying health insurance for customers who seek services at the bank.

The partnership between AGL and Krungsri Bank on health insurance was announced at a press conference last week in Vientiane.

It was attended by Executive vice president International Business Division of Krungsri Bank, Ms Yingluck Kongkasai, and Chief Executive Officer of AGL, Mr Guy Apovy, and witnessed by representatives from both companies and assembled media.

The partn ership aims to respond to opportunities presented by economic growth and the steadily increasing numbers of the privately-insured which include employees of international organisations and NGOs, as well as business people and members of the general public.

This new service offered at both branches will provide ease in purchasing insurance for customers as well as AGL's clients.

Bank tellers are being trained to assist in identifying the right policy for customers.

The new health insurance is developed especially for the bank's customers as well as general clie nts who need high-level coverage.

AGL-Krungsri health insurance offers four policies to cover expenses for hospitalization and treatment for various medical conditions.

Policy-holders can use the cashless services at one of AGL's network of medical providers in both Laos and Thailand just by presenting their health insurance card.

In additional, the coverage is effective world wide based on the policy.

Krungsri Bank and AGL expressed hope that the new service and expanded product range can meet the requirement of their valued customers.
