Discounts offered at opening of VinMart supermarkets

Vingroup granted special discounts to customers to mark the opening of its first nine VinMart supermarkets and VinMart+ convenience stores in various areas of the capital city on November 20.

The company announced discounts on thousands of items as well as an additional two-per cent discount on customers' receipts.

The newly opened supermarkets and stores are located in residential areas with convenient transportation, including Thang Long International Village, Trung Hoa Urban Area and Starbowl Center for Culture, Sports and Entertainment.

They are among 100 VinMart supermarkets and 1,000 VinMart+ convenience stores which Vingroup planned to construct nationwide by 2017.

Spreading over an area of 10,000 sq.m, the supermarkets stock more than 40,000 items, including food, household utensils, electronics and garments.

On the other hand, the convenience stores, covering an area of less than 1,000 sq m, carry the slogan "Nearer and Faster" and supply essential goods arranged according to customers' convenience.

The outstanding feature of the new retail system is that all items are provided by prestigious domestic and international suppliers and follow quality control regulations. The system provides a full range of items to meet essential demands as well as special needs of different customers.

VinMart also brings added value to customers, including free delivery within a five-km radius and free gift wrapping. In addition, payments using all kinds of bank cards are also accepted.

"We hope to create a professional and modern shopping environment for our valued customers," said Ho Ngoc Chuong, VinMart chairman of the board of directors. "We have a development strategy to become the country's biggest retail system and provide perfect service and quality goods to customers."
