Vietnamese garments and textiles on show in Australia

Viet Nam's textile and garment manufacturers are showcasing their products at the Australian International Sourcing Fair which runs till November 20 at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre.

The manufacturers, making use of two booths at the event, include Garment 10 Corporation Joint Stock Company, Ho Guom Garment Joint Stock Company and Dong Xuan Knitting Sole Member Limited Liability Company.

Tran Ba Phuc, chairman of the Vietnamese Entrepreneurs in Australia, said the event offered chances for participating companies to introduce their products to Australian buyers.

Phuc expressed hopes that Vietnamese companies in other industries would participate in international expositions to introduce and popularise Vietnamese goods to potential buyers in other countries.

First held in 2010, the event is Australia's only dedicated sourcing trade fair that connects international manufacturers with Australian brands and buyers in garments, fashion accessories, leather products and footwear, as well as home textiles, fabrics and handicrafts.
