Exports to Turkey up in first two months

Viet Nam's exports to Turkey saw significant annual growth of 34 per cent, rising to US$185 million over the past two months, according to the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

Mobile phones and their components, which topped the list of Vietnamese exports with a turnover of $86 million (up 83 per cent), have made a great contribution to Viet Nam's strong export performance to the market over the last two months, noted the ministry's Industry and Trade Information Centre.

Other exports recording high export revenue growth included pepper, steel, tools, and electronics and their components. Seafood and wood and timber products also showed significant growth.

According to trade experts, Turkey was a good gateway for Vietnamese products to further penetrate the European, Middle Eastern and North African markets.
