S Hotel and Suites Danang to bring local competition to leading foreign brands

Being one of the most attractive tourism destinations in Asia, Danang's tourism-hotel industry has been flourishing. Hotels and resorts have been springing up to meet the increasing demand of domestic and international visitors arriving to Danang.

On December 5, 2017, Thanh Oanh Danang Company and HTM Management Consultancy Co., Ltd. signed a management agreement over S Hotel and Suites Danang.

The hotel is built on a beachfront plot in one of Vietnam's hottest tourist destinations, Danang. The property will be positioned as an upscale full-service hotel, comprising of 280 rooms and suites, offing comprehensive facilities and services. It is scheduled for opening in April 2019.

"The "S" in S Hotel and Suites Danang stands for sophisticated, stylish, and smart. It will be catering to the needs and demands of a new breed of customers: millennials, who seek full connectivity and a fresh and new holiday experience. With the property's location, unique facade, stylish interior, modern facilities, and flexible services, paired with HTM's extensive international hotel management and local market experience, we are confident to establish the S Hotel and Suites in the competitive Danang market and provide owners with a unique alternative to foreign-branded and operated hotels," said Kai Marcus Schroter, director general of HTM.

Hospitality Tourism Management Consultancy Co., Ltd. (HTM) is a leading international boutique hospitality and tourism management consultancy firm operating in Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, and Myanmar.

Up to the end of 2016, Danang received over 5.5 million arrivals (up 17.7 per cent compared to 2015), including 1.66 million international arrivals (up 31.6 per cent). By 2020, there will be about eight million arrivals and total tourism revenue will hit VND27.4 trillion ($1.2 billion) in the city.

Last year, Danang was evaluated as the most popular festival destination in Asia by World Travel Awards and fought its way among the "Top 10 tourism destinations in Asia." Additionally, Danang is also an attractive destination of large-scale tourism investment projects, with 83 projects and total investment capital of around $7.3 billion from famous international brands, according to the Danang Department of Tourism.
