Q-Mama to enter Ho Chi Minh City five-star hotel scene in August 2018

On December 1, financial, hotel and restaurant management firm Q-Mama Holdings introduced its first five-star hotel in Ho Chi Minh City with an investment capital of more than $46million.

According to Bach Thuy Ha, chairwoman of Q-Mama Holdings, this five-star hotel will be a unique addition to the Ho Chi Minh City holiday-stay scene, as it will offer high-standard leisure and entertainment facilities to customers.

Located in one of the large commercial and cultural centres in District 5 of Ho Chi Minh City, the incoming Q-Mama hotel will serve domestic and foreign tourists when they come to Ho Chi Minh City.

“After investing in restaurants in Ho Chi Minh City, I realised that there is a real potential in investments in food courts, spas, and healthcare and entertainment facilities in Ho Chi Minh City—and this hotel is set to exploit just that potential,” Ha said.

She added that Q-Mama will commission and apply modern digital software to manage the activities of this hotel.

Also at the introduction ceremony, Q-Mama had signed with HD Bank, Hoa Binh Construction Corporation, and Vietjet to co-operate in developing this project.

Located at 90 Hung Vuong Street, one of Ho Chi Minh City’s major arterial routes, the future hotel will be near to many key facilities, such as An Dong Market, Tan An Dong Trading Centre, Windsor Plaza, Parkson Hung Vuong, and Thuan Kieu Plaza.

On a land plot of more than 2,700 square metres, the hotel will offer a total of 13,300sq.m floor space of a standard five-star hotel. The hotel will open in August 2018.

With the total investment of VND1.035 trillion ($46 million), Ha predicted that she could gain a turnover of VND1.836 trillion ($81.6 million) from all facilities in the first year of operation.

Ho Chi Minh City is now home for more than 640 hotels which totally provide more than 17,640 rooms. The city’s 19 five-star hotels, with a total of 6,000 rooms, are mostly located in District 1 (78.9 per cent).
