SCG sees success, future in technological innovation

The SCG Cement-Building Materials Company in Thailand has had some success in developing new technology for construction and systems that have helped reduce electricity consumption, saving energy in homes across the Asean market.

Innovation and Technology Director at SCG Cement-Building Materials, Mr Sanit Ketsuwan, recently addressed a press conference at SCG’s exhibit for Innovative Building Materials and Technology for Better Living at the Association Siam Architect 2017.
He said another important highlight for the company this year is technology for better living called “SCG Living Tech”, which he said tackles consumers’ core needs.
The technology underlines three “better living” areas that allow homes to be more comfortable. These include regulating temperatures in homes, a design that does not store heat by using good ventilation that helps lessen humidity and allows for better air flow, and homes that are sealed from exterior noise pollution.
“We hope that this year’s visitors enjoy the variety of innovations from SCG that we feel better fulfills their needs for better living. I also feel the public and especially students and graduates can gain design ideas and inspiration from our work to further develop even better innovations,” Mr Sanit said.
Vice President-Domestic Market, Mr Nithi Pattarachoke, said SCG was happy to continue being a part of Association Siam Architect’s events.
This year the company’s building materials innovation and technologies for homes were showcased under the broader concept “Your Ideal Home by SCG Experience”.
Mr Nithi said one could explore advanced innovations for better living with SCG building materials which were always high quality and plentiful, suggesting that their customers’ every need could easily be addressed “from rooftops to landscapes”.
He continued by listing some of the innovations and materials on display at the exhibition.
The SCG Eldercare Solution, a home innovation for elders, deploys the “Ageless Living” concept where freedom and pleasant living are highlighted and limitations from aging are alleviated, he said, adding that they also carried Geoluxe, a leading brand for stone countertops, popular in the USA and Europe and complete with a quality assurance award from the USA for Best of Kitchen.
