Investors transfer 3 million VNM shares

Seven investors have transferred nearly 3 million shares of the dairy giant Vinamilk (VNM) to Genesis Smaller Companies SICAV, said the Vietnam Securities Depository (VSD) on December 10.

As Vinamilk had more than 1 billion shares in September 2014, the number of shares transferred amount to a 0.3 per cent stake.

On December 10, each VNM share closed at VND90,000 (US$4.2) in the local market.

VSD said that the investor firms that transferred 2,944,543 VNM shares were: Kuroto Fund LP; Equinox Partners LP; KITMC Worldwide Vietnam Fund 1; KITMC Worldwide Vietnam Fund 2; KITMC Vietnam Growth Fund; KITMC Vietnam Growth Fund 2; and KITMC Worldwide Vietnam RSP Balance Fund.

Vinamilk earned VND25.6 trillion ($1.2 billion) in revenue in the first nine month of this year, a 12 per cent year-on-year increase. Its net profit in the same period was VND4.3 trillion ($202.8 million).

Genesis Smaller Companies SICAV is a SICAV Incorporated in Luxembourg, said Bloomberg.com, adding that the fund invests in equity securities in companies operating in emerging markets to achieve capital growth over the medium to long term.
