VPBank offers credit to SMEs

The Viet Nam Prosperity Bank (VPBank) on September 4 introduced a Smart Credit programme that offers capital to small and medium-d enterprises to promote production and business towards the end of the year.

The programme, which is the first of its kind in the market, would allow small and medium-d enterprises (SMEs) to access loans with their mortgages, and unsecured loans with simple procedures and clear conditions. The programme would accept diversified mortgages, including goods and debt claim rights.

Under the programme, borrowers would be granted short-term, medium-term and long-term credits totalling VND20 billion (US$952,000) in 10 years. All procedures for the loans would be approved within two days.

A representative from the VPBank said they have paid attention to providing products and programmes to SMEs in their business strategy.

VPBank has been striving to improve its products and services to provide better benefits to customers and to become one of the five leading commercial banks and one of the three leading retail banks in the country by 2017.
