Shares recover as cash flows increase

Shares recovered slightly this morning, thanks to strong cash flows in the two markets.

On the HCM Stock Exchange, the VN-Index rose 0.08 per cent to end at 640.72 points, while the HNX-Index on the Ha Noi Stock Exchange increased 0.34 per cent to close at 87.80 points.

Liquidity remained high with a total of nearly 140 million shares, worth over VND1.36 trillion (US$64.5 million), being traded on the two exchanges.

Realty stocks were still among the most active codes in the markets this morning, with FLC Group (FLC) leading the HCM City market on the exchange of 6 million shares. PetroVietnam Construction Corporation (PVX) had the highest volume on the Ha Noi bourse with 7.2 million shares being exchanged.
